Breast tissue can be present to varying degrees in males, resulting in an undesirable appearance. This can occur as a result of hormone changes caused by obesity, aging, drug use, or genetics. Rarely this can be caused by overactive hormone-secreting structures and investigation by your family doctor is recommended.
Gynecomastia is enlargement of the gland tissue of the male breast. During infancy, puberty, and in middle-aged to older men, gynecomastia can be common.
Surgical excision of this tissue in conjunction with lipoplasty can correct the enlargement and restore confidence with minimal down time. This procedure can typically be done in our private facility.
